Immunology
Immunology is the study of the immune system and is a significant field in both the medical and biological sciences. We are protected from infection by our immune system through a variety of processes. If the immune system is not functioning properly, diseases like cancer, allergies, and autoimmunity can arise. It is increasingly becoming clear that immune responses contribute to the genesis of several common ailments that are not typically thought of as immune-related, such as metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Immunology research is essential to the health and survival of both humans and animals. It is at the cutting edge of medical research and has sparked the development of some significant medical advancement recently, including as cancer immunotherapy and vaccination.
